أنباء الوطن أطفأت جمهورية الكويت، عشية يوم السبت، أنوار واحد من أكثر أهمية أبراجها؛ والذي يعتبر سما سياحيًّا هامًّا بها، حدادًا على موت الرئيس الأمريكي السابق، جورج بوش الأب.
وبحسب جريدة "القبس" الكويتية، وجهت السلطات بإطفاء أضواء "أبراج الكويت"، في خطوة أتت "تقييمًا لدوره الهائل في تحرير البلاد من براثن الغزو العراقي الغاشم".
وأضافت الصحيفة، أنه تم وضع صورة الرئيس الأمريكي المتوفي، وعلمي جمهورية الكويت والولايات المتحدة الامريكية الأمريكية على واجهة البرج.
وقد كان الرئيس الـ41 للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، "جورج بوش" الأب قد لقي حتفه، يوم السبت، عن عمر يناهز الـ 94 عامًا.
وشهدت مرحلة حكمه اتحادًا عسكريًّا يقاد من قبل واشنطن، دخَل حرب تحرير الكويت في أعقاب غزوها من قِبَل نسق الرئيس العراقي المتوفي، صدام حسين.

Al-Watan News On the eve of Saturday, the Republic of Kuwait turned off the lights of one of its most important lights, which is considered an important tourist poison in it, in mourning the death of the former American President, George Bush Senior.
According to the Kuwaiti newspaper, "Al-Qabas", the authorities directed that the lights of "Kuwait Towers" be turned off, in a step that came "in an assessment of his massive role in liberating the country from the clutches of the brutal Iraqi invasion."
The newspaper added that the image of the deceased American president and the flags of Kuwait and the United States of America were placed on the front of the tower.
The 41st President of the United States of America, "George Bush" Sr., died on Saturday, at the age of 94.
And during his rule, a military union led by Washington entered the war to liberate Kuwait following its invasion by the deceased Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's regime.
